Express Yourself!!!
Students will explore the myriad of possible sounds that can be used to express a single note of phrase. Specifically, the use of rubato, vibrato, and voicing in music will be discussed. Pieces performed in the "mini" recital will include the excerpts discussed.
How is Music Relevant To Us Today?
Repertoire from different periods in classical music will be performed to emphasize the link between history and human expression through music.
Masterclass *
This program concentrates on individual students' musical needs and
questions in a one-on-one format. This includes all that is offered in the
previously described seminar but is shaped accordingly to musical levels. Subjects
explored include technique and musical style according to genre. (Schools and
teachers are asked to select students and pieces to be played.)
